Industrial Growth Surges: 322 New Licenses Issued, 188 Factories Begin Production

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 322 new industrial licenses in April, while 188 new factories commenced production during the same month, according to a report from the ministry’s National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.

The volume of investments tied to the new licenses surpassed SR12.33 billion ($3.28 billion), with these projects expected to create more than 2,977 jobs across the Kingdom.

Factories that began production in April accounted for SR2.01 billion in investments and generated 3,606 new jobs, reflecting the continued expansion of the industrial base and the rising pace of factories entering operation.

The ministry issues key industrial indicators monthly through the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information, tracking new investments, license volumes, and production starts.
