Dubai to Welcome an Amazing Michael Jackson Tribute Act This Season
DUBAI — “Michael Lives Forever,” a tribute concert honoring the King of Pop, will take place at Coca-Cola Arena on July 18, featuring tribute artist Rodrigo Teaser alongside musicians who worked closely with Jackson.
Teaser, who began impersonating Jackson at age nine, will perform with Lavelle Smith Jr., Jackson’s choreographer; Jennifer Batten, his lead guitarist for three world tours; and Kevin Dorsey, who served as vocal director for 25 years.
Teaser told Arab News that Jackson taught him to carry a positive message even through difficult times. “Even when the world was bad with him, he always had a good message,” he said. The Brazilian performer, who has entertained audiences across South America, the US, Asia, and the Middle East, including a performance at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 before 40,000 people, said the show will honor Jackson’s legacy while sharing his own journey as a lifelong fan.
“I’m not trying to be Michael,” he said. “The most beautiful part is I still bring with me the same feeling that I had when I was a child.”
The concert arrives as the Jackson biopic has reignited global interest in the artist’s music. Tickets are available through the Coca-Cola Arena box office.
