RIYADH — Saudi art gallery ATHR presented two new projects at Art Basel Unlimited this year, showcasing works by Zahrah Alghamdi and Muhannad Shono.

Alghamdi’s “Streams Move Oceans” is a 15-meter suspended knotted-textile installation in off-white coloring. The gallery said the piece evokes the permanence of a solid barricade while underscoring the vulnerability of the structures we build between one another.

Shono’s “Towers of Infinite Horizons” is a 17-meter-wide installation formed from reclaimed foundry sand over a metal lattice structure. The gallery explained that for new narratives to emerge, monoliths must fall, as collapse opens space for new possibilities.

Egyptian pop superstar Tamer Hosny released his album “Mesh Hatkarrar” exclusively on Anghami, reaching No. 1 in 16 MENA markets with more than 10 million streams in its first three days. The launch concert took place in Jeddah as part of his current tour.

Northwestern University in Qatar announced that London-based art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast will exhibit at the Media Majlis Museum starting October 5. The show, titled “All That Is Unseen,” combines scientific research with immersive storytelling to reveal worlds beyond human perception.

Jeddah-based rap duo Alyoung and Randar dropped their EP “R2,” marking 18 years of music-making. The four-track release, via MDLBEAST Records and YR Records, includes the title track, “Lessa Lessa,” “Asabi3 Shama,” and “Al Halazona.”
