Dubai’s Celebrity Branded Residences Trend Continues With New SRK Tower Debut

Dubai’s developers are turning more to celebrity-led branding and premium lifestyle experiences to lure consumers, with Danube Properties launching a new residential tower linked to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Dubai Maritime City.

The project, Shahrukhz Residences by Danube, comes after the opening of Shahrukhz by Danube, a commercial skyscraper which the developer said sold out on the day of its launch. The beachfront residential complex will provide completely furnished apartments starting from Dh1.65 million with a payment plan of 30 per cent during construction and 70 per cent on handover.

Dubbed the world’s first celebrity-named residential tower, the venture is part of a growing trend in Dubai’s property market where branded and themed residences are a major lure for local and international investors, Danube said.

The project features the renowned interior designer Gauri Khan, wife of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, designing the tower’s penthouses. The move adds to the celebrity factor of the development and is aimed at attracting purchasers looking for design-led premium houses.

The skyscraper will feature more than 40 lifestyle amenities, reflecting the growing focus on wellness and experiential living in Dubai’s residential market. Facilities will include a longevity lounge with cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red-light therapy and infrared sauna treatments, along with sporting facilities, children’s facilities and jogging and cycling routes. Residents can also enjoy a private yacht and a King’s Club on the roof.
