WASHINGTON — Pop star Ariana Grande has demanded that the Trump administration stop using her music to promote its policies, after the White House shared a TikTok video featuring her 2024 song “Bye” alongside footage of federal agents arresting and handcuffing people.

“Please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense,” Grande wrote in a comment on the White House’s TikTok video on Thursday. A source close to the singer said her team is looking into removing the track as soon as possible.

The video highlighted the administration’s immigration enforcement efforts. White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded: “We’ll say this one last time: what’s actually barbaric, inhumane, and heinous are the criminal illegal aliens who have injured and murdered innocent American citizens.”

Grande, an Academy Award‑nominated actress, has previously criticized the Trump administration. The White House communications team often uses popular songs in short videos promoting the president’s policies, including immigration crackdowns, military operations, and the arrest of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
