International Food Week Brings Together Organisations And Projects From Around the World
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), and the FAO Policy Majlis are some of the prominent international organisations and initiatives that will be welcomed at Global Food Week 2026. This event will further solidify its position as a leading global platform for dialogue and collaboration across the food, agriculture, and sustainability sectors.
They will participate to conversations that are centred on increasing food security and speeding the transformation of agrifood systems, and they will do so in conjunction with a vast network of partners, experts, and decision-makers. Through a strategic relationship with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), the ADNEC Group, a Modon firm, will organise Global Food Week 2026.
The event, which will take place at the ADNEC Center Abu Dhabi from the 6th to the 8th of October 2026, will bring together governments, international organisations, development institutions, leaders from the private sector, investors, researchers, and innovators in order to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities that are currently confronting the global food system.
Participants will explore policies, technologies, and solutions that can accelerate the transition to food systems that are more sustainable, resilient, and efficient. This will be accomplished through a comprehensive agenda that includes debates, expert forums, and knowledge-sharing sessions. The World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) GCC & Africa Workshop will be held as part of Global Food Week’s international program. This workshop will bring together professionals, policymakers, and specialists to discuss how the two regions can strengthen their technical and commercial collaboration. The workshop will also place an emphasis on the development of institutional and animal health frameworks, the promotion of food supply chains that are more robust and sustainable, and the highlighting of the significance of international cooperation in the context of tackling difficulties related to animal health that occur across international borders and working to improve global food security.
In addition, the event will feature YALAFAST, which stands for Youth Action Leadership for Agrifood Awareness and Systems Transformations. YALAFAST is the international youth leadership program of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and it will bring together young leaders who are just starting out from all over the world.
