On Sunday, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of the Italian Republic and President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates spoke by phone about bilateral relations and ways to strengthen collaboration, especially in economics and development.

To promote mutual growth and prosperity, the two nations recommitted to strengthening their strategic partnership and deepening cooperation. In addition, he mentioned the fast increase of Emirati investment in Italy, especially after the UAE announced a historic US$40 billion investment commitment for various vital industries in Italy in 2025.

Among the many topics covered during the meeting between Sheikh Mohamed and the Prime Minister of Italy was the status of events in the Middle East and ongoing initiatives to bring peace and stability to the region.

Amidst the G7 Summit in Évian-les-Bains, France, in June this year, Sheikh Mohamed and Meloni met to discuss ways to further ties within the framework of the strategic alliance between the Italian Republic and the United Arab Emirates.

At their meeting, Sheikh Mohamed and Meloni discussed the two countries’ collaboration in several important areas, including as the economy, investments, energy, technology, and computer science.

The two sides also discussed several problems of mutual importance at the regional and international levels. The meeting also covered discussions on the G7 Summit’s role in strengthening collaboration to address common global issues and promote economic stability.

As a result of their shared commitment to promoting international security and stability, working together on a wide range of issues, and sharing common views on pressing regional and global concerns, the United Arab Emirates and the Italian Republic’s relations have flourished within the context of their comprehensive strategic partnership.
