Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, opened on Wednesday morning the second Global Children and Youth Film Congress, within the framework of the 13th Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF), sponsored by Her Highness Sheika Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council (SFCC).

Sheika Jawaher Bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director General of Rubu’ Qarn for Developing Future Leaders and Innovators and Director of the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF), said in a speech that the congress’s second edition reflects the vision of both Sheika Jawaher and His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Sharjah Ruler.

She stressed their commitment to investing in people, to assisting children and teenagers, the value of culture and the arts in broadening their knowledge and improving their abilities, and to providing an environment that motivates them to fulfill their potential.

Their close follow-up, sound guidance and continuous support inspire us to keep up our hard work, take pride in our accomplishments, build on our successes and move forward toward broader horizons of excellence and creativity,” Sheika Jawaher Bint Abdullah said. It will boost the festival’s reputation and consolidate its position on the world film scene, while offering younger generations greater opportunities for creative expression in film.
