RIYADH — The Saudi Energy Company and the National Water Company announced Sunday that they were adjusting rates of energy, water and wastewater services across the Kingdom. This aligns with royal commands to support military, government, and private personnel. The new tariffs will apply from January 1, 2027, under the method for adjusting the cost of energy and water products.

The Saudi Energy Company announced adjustments to electricity consumption tariffs and fixed fees from January 1, 2027. The updated tariffs will differ depending on the sector, consumption levels and circuit breaker capacity.

The rate for domestic electricity consumption will be 21 halalas per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for monthly usage between 1 and 6,000 kWh, and 33 halalas per kWh for consumption beyond 6,000 kWh.

For the business sector and private health and education facilities, the rate will be 25 halalas per kWh for up to 6,000 kWh of monthly consumption and 35 halalas per kWh for use above that.

The rate for the industrial sector connected to the electrical transmission or distribution network will be 23 halalas per kWh. In the agricultural sector, the rate will be 19 halalas per kWh for monthly use up to 6,000 kWh and 23 halalas per kWh for usage above that level.

The Saudi Energy Company has asked individual and business customers to check the updated energy tariff details on its official website. It also encouraged clients to use the company’s established communication channels for any queries related to billing or the implementation of the amended pricing.
