Air India Express Boosts India-UAE Flights, Adds Extra Gulf Access for Winter

Dubai: Air India Express is expanding its India-West Asia network this winter with up to 135 daily departures linking 23 Indian cities with 12 gateways across the Gulf and wider West Asia.

The expansion would also include operating 88 non-stop city-pair trips to Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, increasing connectivity on one of the busiest air travel corridors for Indian travellers in the Gulf.

The UAE network will include links to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Al Ain, as well as key West Asian destinations including Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh, Doha, Muscat and Kuwait City. The extra capacity is meant to provide more options to travellers on key India-West Asia routes, especially between India and the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

This winter, most of Air India Express’ foreign network is in West Asia. For its international operations, the airline would provide up to 150 daily foreign departures to 99 destinations.

The airline said the development would improve connectivity for the substantial overseas Indian community commuting between India and West Asia for work, family and vacation. Besides the 737 Max, the airline said it is also deploying modified aircraft on certain West Asia routes this winter as part of its wider fleet-modernisation initiative.

Air India Express has a broader Winter 2026 expansion plan that includes West Asia.

In addition to more West Asia capacity, the airline said it is adding capacity at its Bengaluru and Delhi hubs, establishing new domestic routes and deploying refurbished aircraft across its network.

Air India Express flies more than 500 times daily, linking 48 locations inside the country and 16 in South, Southeast and West Asia.
