For most people, the daily hunt for street parking is just an unavoidable annoyance. For Jarrod Colacino, it was a business opportunity hiding in plain sight. Born and raised in New York and self-employed since 19, Colacino spent his days running a sewer and drain cleaning company, relying on GPS navigation to get from job to job while battling the constant stress of finding parking on crowded city streets. While searching for his next venture, he kept circling back to a question no one seemed to be answering: why was every parking app focused on paid lots and garages, while free street parking the thing real people actually struggle with every day was being completely ignored?

That gap became the foundation for ParcSync. The more Jarrod Colacino researched the niche, the more obvious the opportunity became. He set out to build something different: a global, live GPS navigation app built around a free, interactive, user-to-user parking swap feature, secured with PIN verification so drivers can hand off real street spots to one another safely and in real time. Rather than monetizing scarcity, ParcSync is designed to solve it connecting drivers who are leaving a spot with drivers who need one, turning a frustrating zero-sum scramble into a shared, community-driven system.

As development progressed, Jarrod Colacino and his team spotted another unmet need that fit naturally alongside parking: EV charging. With more drivers going electric and traveling longer distances, finding a working charger had become its own source of anxiety. ParcSync responded by adding a real-time charging station locator complete with live pump stats and availability data, giving EV drivers the same confidence the app already brought to parking. To turn the vision into a working product, Colacino partnered with developer Deni Ochiche, who built and engineered the app from the ground up. What started as one man's everyday headache on the streets of New York has grown into a navigation platform built on a simple but powerful idea that the best opportunities often come from the problems we live with every day.
