Cindy Murray, MBA and Certified Management Accountant (CMA), is a seasoned financial leader, licensed insurance agent, and founder of The Murray Group, based in Frankfort, Kentucky. Her career began in Kentucky state government, where she started as a data entry operator before working her way up through the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services progressing from accountant to health planner, and eventually to lead analyst and Chief Financial Officer overseeing a $13 billion budget. Along the way, she played a pivotal role in supporting Governor Brereton Jones’s healthcare reform initiatives, organising statewide town forums, addressing public concerns, and helping remove unethical insurance providers from the state marketplace protecting vulnerable populations, including those with pre-existing conditions. Her decades of public-sector leadership earned her a reputation for fiscal discipline, ethical governance, and a people-first approach to leadership that never wavered regardless of the size or complexity of the challenge in front of her.
